As a full-service design firm, Clark Patterson Lee is committed to using Building Information Modeling (BIM) for all design disciplines including architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, as well as structural engineering. We understand the advantages of BIM, which essentially allows design staff to generate and manage building data in real time using three-dimensional modeling software. We also understand that implementing a BIM program means more than purchasing new CAD software. Its basic premise requires thoughtful data sharing as a project moves through the various design phases. Therefore, staff in all Clark Patterson Lee locations are receiving hands-on training in BIM, ensuring quality design in all projects undertaken with this emerging technology. We are confident that BIM will benefit our clients and the design team by facilitating accuracy and interdisciplinary coordination, and minimizing concerns and questions during the bidding and construction phases.
